What my main characters taught me

Writing Morgan and Jo has been a weird little mirror, I didn't expect to look into. Like I thought I was just writing a fantasy about witches and Fae and time rifts. Instead the characters are like here's your trauma loud and clear. First of all, RUDE! no one asked you. But here we are: Joanna taught me that being soft isn't weak. She's quiet until she's not. Fire energy HELLO! Morgan is that chaotic little gremlin side of me that I love to let out every now and again. She's fiery and fun and honestly? Mood. Sometimes survival comes with a little chaos and sometimes it's hidden in the quiet. I didn't plan for my characters to teach me anything but they did. And I'm learning that's a part of the magic...building a world and putting it to paper is incredibly difficult but it's amazing and feels lived in. If Joanna and Morgan teach you anything is that you have to keep going and even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts. So if they can keep going, so can I...And so can you!
